Once all the necessary contingencies and stages of the closing are complete, it’s time to schedule the closing.
When attending closings, I provide my clients with my personal assistance as we review the paperwork, sign the documents, and I answer any other questions that they may have at this stage.
I take the time to explain each and every document that my client is signing, ensure that all necessary items of the seller are being removed from the property, and manage all aspects of the closing leading to my clients receiving a new home on their closing date.
As for the seller’s side, I prepare all necessary paperwork to ensure that the seller does not have to appear for closing and ensure that any issues are resolved so that they can receive proceeds from the sale.
Also, I coordinate with the other attorneys, the title company, and the seller. If the seller needs to use the proceeds from this current sale to purchase a new home, I do my best to coordinate the transaction to occur on the same day as possible.
